The Honourable Society of Lincoln’s Inn Telephone 020 7405 1393
We are an active and thriving society of lawyers with a very long history situated in a tranquil enclave of some 11 acres in central London. “Lincoln’s Inn” thus refers both to the Society and the place. The Society is run from the Treasury Office, which is always happy to answer enquiries from members, prospective members and the public. For those new to us, the name has nothing to do with money or finance – it is simply that the head or president of the Society has always been known as the Treasurer and the Chief Executive as the Under Treasurer. The place, as well as housing the Society’s own facilities, is the location of many barristers’ chambers and some solicitors’ offices, which have their own individual websites.
