A Certificate of Standing (also known as a copy/duplicate Call certificate) can be obtained from the Inn. It will confirm the name under which you were Called to the Bar, your date of admission to the Inn and date of Call to the Bar. It will be signed by the current Treasurer and Under Treasurer.
There is an administration fee of £20 payable for the issue of the certificate. This may be paid by cheque (payable to Lincoln’s Inn) or credit/debit card.
If you require a certificate of standing to be issued, please write to June Gascoine, Registrar at the Treasury Office or email
(the request letter may be scanned and attached to an email). Please note that we require the request to be signed by the member.
Please note that the certificate of standing is different to a Certificate of Good Standing, Certificates of Good Standing (confirming there are no complaints etc lodged against you) are issued by the Records Office at the Bar Council.
