Tours and Visits

Visitors are welcome to walk around the precincts of the Inn, which are open Monday to Friday 7 am to 7 pm.  The Inn's buildings, however, are only open for organised tours, except for the Chapel  which is open Monday to Friday 12 noon to 2.30 pm.

Please give at least two weeks notice, preferably longer.  Groups will normally comprise a minimum of 15 visitors.

The tours, which lasts between 60 minutes and 2 hours, will include, subject to availability, visits to the Old Hall, Great Hall and Chapel, and the group will be briefed on the history, artwork and the current role of Lincoln’s Inn.  The tours start in the morning at 10.30 am and in the afternoon at 2.30 pm. 

The assembly point is in the Chapel Undercroft where the Guide will be waiting for you.

Platinum Tour

Smart casual clothes must be worn, no speech, no cameras or mobile phones allowed in Hall.

Maximum of 30 guests. 

Invoiced after the event.  Organisers to deal with the Catering Department at least four weeks in advance to choose set menu.  Final numbers to be confirmed three working days before the event.  Minimum numbers of 15 guests required.

Gold Tour
(2 hours)

Specially scheduled tour with refreshments in the Drawing or Council Room.  The tours start with refreshments in the mornings at 10.30 am and in the afternoons at 2.30 pm.

Silver Tour
(1 1/2 hours)

Specially scheduled tour without refreshments.

Bronze Tour
(1 hour)

Highlights Tour with no refreshments.
First Friday of month at 2 pm, meet in the Chapel Undercroft.  No need to pre-book. 

Please note, there are no Bronze Tours in August.

There are no tours in August or at weekends, and certain other days are also impractical, but there is scope for booking some months in advance.
