Each applicant must arrange for two references to be sent separately (if absolutely necessary references can be attached to the application, but must be in sealed envelopes) to arrive not later than the 5th November for BPTC Year Awards, 30th April for CPE Awards and 31st July for Pupillage Awards.  The two forms attached may be used for references or referees may prodce their reference on headed notepaper.  The ONUS IS ON THE APPLICANT to make sure references arrive on time.  The Inn does not write to referees or chase up references on behalf of the applicant.  Please note:  at least one reference MUST be an academic reference i.e. from your university.

NOTE CAREFULLY:  ONLY THOSE STUDENTS INTENDING TO PRACTISE AT THE BAR OF ENGLAND AND WALES ARE ELIGIBLE TO APPLY FOR THE SCHOLARSHIPS AND AWARDS.
