Normal opening hours are Monday to Friday 9.00 am to 8.00 pm (see below on Saturday opening). From August to mid-September the hours are 9.30 am to 6.00 pm. The Library is closed on bank holidays and for a fortnight at Christmas. It is occasionally necessary to close the Library early for special functions such as Call Day. Advance notice is given and a message advising of alternative facilities is left on the voice mail.

SUMMER CLOSURE FOR BUILDING WORKS

• The Library will close for major building works at 1.00 pm on Friday 30 July 2010 and re-open at 9.00 am on Monday 13 September 2010.
• An enquiry service by phone and email will be available during the closure, Monday to Friday, 9.30 am to 5.30 pm except on Friday 10 September.
• The staff will continue to have access to all the databases (and the stock in the cellar stacks).
• Gray's Inn Library will be open Monday to Friday 9 am to 6 pm. Below are the hours of all the Inn libraries.
• The following titles only taken by Lincoln's Inn will be temporarily transferred to Gray's Inn Library:  Family Law Journal, New Property Cases, Occupational Pensions Law Reports, Pensions Law Reports, Property Law Journal, Rights of Way Law Review, Trusts and Estates Law and Tax Journal, Trusts and Trustees, Wills and Trusts Law Reports
• If you are a barrister member of the Inn or have chambers in the Inn, you may be able to borrow non-current textbooks - please enquire.
• Users of the distance document supply service should continue to send requests to us in the first place.
• Visiting scholars wishing to use particular items from the rare books and manuscripts collections should enquire whether this is possible.
