Services in Chapel

A morning service is held at 11.30 am on all Sundays during law term time (32 Sundays per year), which the public are very welcome to attend.  This is usually a service of Choral Matins sung by the Inn’s professional choir.  Services are also held to mark many of the important dates in the Christian Calendar.  The two annual carol services are always a highlight of the Chapel’s calendar and very well attended.  Other unique services are the annual Warburton Lecture (on a Sunday in June), the Family Service and Picnic (in early July) and the Wigs + Mitres service in November.

The Chapel is also used for weddings for members of the Inn and Memorial Services for senior members (Benchers).  Baptisms can take place in the Chapel by arrangement with the Preacher.  These are normally held after Morning Service on Sundays.  The Chapel stands at the heart of the Inn’s yearly calendar with services to mark many of the important occasions in the life of the Inn.

Details of all events held in Chapel can be found in the Chapel Calendar

Details of Sunday services for Easter and Trinity 2010, including music, are available to download here.
