A recent full scale review of the Bar Professional Training Course stressed the importance of those considering a career at the Bar being very clear about the challenges they might face once they start on that path.  An information sheet was produced to help with this.  Please do download a copy of it at the link below.

Bar Professional Training Course 2010/2011

If you are eligible to commence the Bar Professional Training Course (BPTC) in 2010 and intend to do so, you MUST submit your application for membership by 31 May 2010.  Any student eligible to commence the BPTC in 2010 who submits an application for admission to Lincoln's Inn after 31 May will have their papers returned to them.  They will be advised to re-apply for admission after 1 October.
