Wildy’s

The south-west corner of New Square features a gateway leading into Carey Street.  In a change from the barristers and solicitors who occupy New Square, these are the premises of Wildy & Sons Ltd, a specialist legal bookshop founded in 1830.  They stock over 10,000 law books and 5,000 e-Books.  They also publish law books.

The shop and the alleyway are very popular as filming venues and have featured in popular TV series ‘Downton Abbey’ (pictured above).
