As part of our European Law Programme theInn organises three highly subsidised visits to the European and international courts each year for groups of students and pupils, together with senior members of the Inn. The Inn visits the European Court of Human Rights and Council of Europe in Strasbourg, the International Courts at The Hague, and the European Court of Justice in Luxembourg. Applicants must demonstrate an interest in the relevant area of law.
The deadline for the Lincoln's Inn European Visits is 12 noon on Wednesday 2nd May 2018.
Applicants may apply for more than one trip. Please be advised that depending on demand you may be invited to attend only one of the trips.
The cost of each trip is£50 for Lincoln's Inn members, which covers flights and accommodation only. You will need to provide your own travel insurance. If you need a visa to enter you should investigate your visa requirements as this can affect your eligibility to attend. Please note, you may apply for more than one trip if you wish.
Applications are assessed by members of our Euro group and successful applicants will be notified once all applications have been reviewed.
The Inn also holds a number of European and Human Rights Law lectures throughout the year and an event on career and scholarship opportunities at the European and International courts and institutions. Details of these events can be found on the European Programme Events page, which includes reports from some previous visits.
The Inn also offers a number of scholarships for placements at the European and international courts and has a small fund available to assist members who have arranged their own placements. See our European Scholarships page for further details.
