The Inn organises two Advocacy Workshops in both the Michaelmas and Hilary terms for students at London BPTC Providers. These workshops are a fantastic opportunity to practise your advocacy and get feedback from barristers and judges. Attendance and full participation at these workshops will lead to the accreditation of one qualifying session each. Criminal and civil groups will be available at both of the workshops. Places will be available to book on the Online Booking System nearer the time.
The Advocacy Workshops for London BPTC students in next term will take place on:
Wednesday 7 February
Tuesday 27th March
BPTC Providers outside London
Advocacy Workshops at the BPTC Providers outside of London are organised by the Lincoln's Inn Student Reps in liaison with a local barrister or judge. Your reps should be in touch shortly regarding the arrangements for your advocacy workshop and these workshops can be booked on the Online Booking System.
Witness Handling Workshop
The Inn will also host a Witness Handling Workshop in Hilary term covering case analysis, examination-in-chief and cross-examination. Students must prepare for the workshop and will be sent the papers in advance. It will involve a criminal exercise.
The workshop will take place on TBC.
This is an all-day event and lunch will be provided. The workshop will take place at 33 Chancery Lane and full participation in the workshop will count as two qualifying sessions. Please note this session is available to both London and Outside of London BPTC students.
Students will be able to book onto the event via the Online Booking System nearer the time and further information will be found in the Students Newsletter.
