Black Books Society Lecture: The Lincoln’s Inn Which Never Was – Lucky Escapes and Missed Opportunities

Date
Time
17:45 - 20:00
Location
Ashworth Centre, Lincoln’s Inn

Over the centuries a number of building schemes were designed for the Inn which were never realised.  Some were designed by eminent architects and would have been magnificent buildings – others were lucky escapes.  In each case, had they been built, the Inn would have looked radically different and much of what we know today would have been destroyed or never built.  In this lecture, Dunstan Speight, the Inn’s Librarian, will discuss these projects and illustrate them from the plans and drawings which survive in the Inn’s archives and other collections.

The lecture will be followed by a drinks reception.

Non-members of the Inn are welcome to attend.
