Our 600th Anniversary

Purple Lincoln's Inn 600 anniversary logo, featuring a large number '600', with the zeroes forming overlapping rings. '1422-2022' is displayed in gold in the curve of the '6'.

2022 marked the 600th anniversary of the Inn’s Black Books, which are the Inn’s earliest records. Although we can be certain that Lincoln’s Inn was already well established by this date, 1422 marks the start of continuous records.

Throughout the  year a a range of special events, activities and initiatives took place, both for members and the public. The aim was to welcome as many people to the Inn as possible, and celebrate our heritage while looking forward to the Inn’s future.

A guest smiles away from camera on the North Lawn of Lincoln's Inn, stood away from a large crowd, who are out of focus in the background. She wears a floral dress and holds a glass of champagne in her hand.
