This month, the Inn  held two of its most prestigious competitions, the Debating Shield and the Gluckstein Advocacy Prize.

Sir Louis Gluckstein Advocacy Prize

This esteemed prize recognises the most promising junior advocates in the Inn. Open to Bar Course students and members up to one year Call, the competition involves two advocacy exercises drawn from criminal, civil, or family law, with finalists selected from an initial round.

The Debating Shield

The Debating Shield is the Inn’s premier internal debating competition, open to all student and pre-pupillage members. Four teams of two are selected to compete in the final following a competitive preliminary round. Motions and positions are allocated on the night.
