ICCA: Practioners Required to Assist with Advocacy Training – Friday 8 July

The Inns of Court College of Advocacy will be holding an advocacy training session as part of Bar Council Placement Week, and are seeking practitioners to assist.

The training will be taking place at Inner Temple on Friday 8th July and 12 practitioners are needed to deliver the session. It will run from 1:30pm to 4:30pm. The event involves 17 & 18 year old students that have been selected on their academic records, passion/interests in Law/Bar and socioeconomic status.

The materials will be provided prior to the session but will involve a very simple mock trial where the students will have a chance to have a go at questioning and acting as witness and counsel. It will be very informal and so the trainers would not need to be advocacy trained. Instead, we hope that they will offer the students a real insight into the Bar and so are particularly keen for junior members of the Bar to be involved.

If you would like to get involved please contact Cara Fitzgerald from ICCA at [email protected].
