The Shape of the Bar & Building for the Future
As the landscape for the profession is rapidly changing, this conference aims to bring together some of the most topical issues facing the Bar, and endeavours to share best practice and opportunities for smarter working.
Keynote speeches will be delivered by:
- Tom Little QC, who has prosecuted some of the most high-profile cases in recent times
- Sir David Spiegelhalter OBE FRS, forensic statistician who can help us understand how to manage this type of information
- Professor Penney Lewis, Criminal Law Commissioner who will discuss some of the issues around rape myths
There are several further breakout sessions which explore trauma-informed lawyering, inquest work; how to support women at the Chancery Bar and beyond; working remotely versus the Chambers-model; the expectations of those in pupil supervisory roles and the innovative fields of AI and smart contracts.
There will be refreshments throughout the day with plenty of opportunities to meet colleagues old and new.
