Watch ‘The Lincoln’s Inn Which Never Was – Lucky Escapes and Missed Opportunities’

Over the centuries a number of building schemes were designed for the Inn which were never realised. Some were designed by eminent architects and would have been magnificent buildings – others were lucky escapes. In each case, had they been built, the Inn would have looked radically different and much of what we know today would have been destroyed or never built.

In this Black Books Society lecture, Dunstan Speight, the Inn’s Librarian, discussed these projects and illustrated them from the plans and drawings which survive in the Inn’s archives and other collections. Find out more about the Black Books Society.
