Black Books Society – The Chapel in the 17th Century
The event has ended.
400 years ago, the new Chapel at Lincoln’s Inn was consecrated – a grand but somewhat enigmatic building.
We are delighted to welcome Dr Mark Kirkby (Lincoln College, Oxford) who will discuss the design and construction of the building, placing it in the context of contemporary debates over styles in church architecture, furnishing and worship.
The lecture will be followed by a drinks reception.
