An English Coronation: Chapel Concert & Reception
An English Coronation: Chapel Concert & Reception
For the Jubilee year, the choir at Lincoln’s Inn are presenting a programme of Coronation music from the seventeenth and eighteen centuries. Although many people have heard the famous Coronation anthem, Zadok the Priest, there is a huge range of music by the finest composers of the age and the concert will present this lesser-known repertoire in settings by Tomkins, Purcell, Weelkes, Blow and Boyce, together with organ music of the age.
The concert will be followed by a drinks reception in the Inn’s Old Hall, with wine, non-alcoholics drinks and summer canapés.
Admission for the concert is free and there is no need to book. If you would like to attend the reception afterwards, tickets are charged at £17.50 per person.
