Introductory Event for London Students

This event is restricted to new Bar Course students studying at providers in London: University of Hertfordshire, The Inns of Court College of Advocacy, The University of Law, London, BPP, City St George’s, University of London.

You can only book this event if you have updated your Provider details. Please update your information by going to the ‘Your Bar course details’ page.

This is a drop-in event which will allow those attending to meet members of the Inn’s Membership and Education team and learn more about life at the Inn, including information on Qualifying Sessions, Mooting and Debating, Student Competitions, Wellbeing and Call to the Bar. In addition, those attending can hear talks from current pupils and members of the Bar, offering advice and insights into pupillage and life at the Bar.

During the event, there will also be an opportunity to join a 30-minute tour of the Inn, providing an introduction to its history and buildings. The evening will end with a networking reception, giving attendees the chance to meet and speak with members of the Bar and Bench.

Please note this event is not a qualifying session.

Timings:

4:30 pm – Registration in the Great Hall.

Tours available until 5:30pm

Talks will be taking place in the Bench rooms at 4:45pm and 5:15pm

5:30 pm – Drinks and canapés for students, barristers and Benchers.

7:30 pm – Event finishes.
