Learning Aims: The aim of this Qualifying Session is for students to gain practical insights into strategies for developing their practice in the early years of their profession. They will explore and learn how to build and maintain a strong client base, enhance their legal expertise, expand professional networks, and effectively manage long-term career growth.

1.3 : Have a knowledge and understanding of the law and procedure relevant to their area(s) of practice.

1.16 : Comply with regulatory requirements set down by the Bar Standards Board, including the Code of Conduct.

2.6 : Ensure they practise with adaptability and flexibility, by being self-aware and self-directed, recognising and acting upon the continual need to maintain and develop their knowledge and skills.

Students booking onto the Lecture & Domus nights will be able to dine with their mentor, providing they are available to attend. If you would like to dine with your mentor on these evenings please check their availability with them first and then contact [email protected] with your mentor copied in to the email to let us know you would like to sit together. We will then confirm their booking with you and make arrangements for you to sit next to each other on the day.

This Qualifying Session will be delivered in person only.

Student Timings:

Registration: 5:30pm – Ashworth Centre. Lecture: 6:00pm – Lecture theatre. Drinks reception 7:00pm – Ashworth rooms. Dinner: 7:30pm – The Great Hall.

Bench & Bar Timings:

Reception: 6.45 pm – Bench and Bar arrive for drinks reception via main Ashworth Centre door. Dinner: 7.30 pm – The Great Hall

The event will finish at approximately 9:30pm.
