Students will prepare and perform a 5-minute oral presentation on any non-legal topic of personal interest to them. This could be a hobby or sport, a current news item or any other subject in which you have a particular interest. Students will receive feedback from tutors and students in the room.

Materials and Preparation: Students will be required to prepare a 5 minute presentation on a topic of their choice to present on the day. You will not need to provide any accompanying visuals or data. Students who have clearly not prepared will not be awarded a Qualifying Session point.

Learning Aims: The aims of this Advocacy Qualifying Session is to provide students with a better knowledge of key strengths and weaknesses as an advocate. Students will have the opportunity to gain feedback from tutors and peers to enhance their advocacy skills. The workshop will focus on honing public speaking skills and gaining a better practice of Advocacy.

Cancellation Policy: Students should consider all bookings a professional commitment and should only book onto an event if they fully plan on attending. Once booked on, students will be unable to cancel and receive a refund other than in exceptional circumstances.

On arrival, students must register with the Education staff. Once the reception has finished, students must sign the orange signature sheets put out by the Education Staff member. Students who fail to sign out will NOT be awarded the QS point.

Please note, full attendance counts as the session followed by the networking reception afterwards, ending at 20:10pm. Students will not be permitted to leave early. Please bare this in mind when booking travel.
