Into the Archives: The Golden Book

In the Inn’s Archives there is a single volume which has passed through the hands of several monarchs and other illustrious visitors to the Inn.  The Golden Book, as it became known, started out as an ordinary Admissions Book but took on a very different role after Charles II visited the Inn in 1672.
