Applications now open for Inn Circuit Representatives

I have thoroughly enjoyed my tenure as Senior Representative for the Midlands’ Circuit over the past 4 years. Being a Circuit Representative is so important to ensure the Inn is not just seen as a London-centric institution, but a truly national institution.

Neil Chawla, Senior Circuit Representative for the Midlands Circuit

Applications are now open for the Inn’s Circuit Representative roles – a Senior Circuit Representative, and a Circuit Representative for each Circuit at the Bar of England & Wales. The roles are three year terms, starting from January 2024, and are intended to allow members on Circuit to have a direct line of communication with the Inn and to help the Inn host events and initiatives on Circuit.

The Circuit Representatives must be members of the Inn and practising barristers or pupils at the Bar of England & Wales. Enthusiasm, rather than seniority, is sought for these roles.

The Senior Circuit Representatives must be members of the Inn and practising barristers at the Bar of England & Wales or judges in England & Wales. Senior Circuit Representatives usually hold senior roles within the profession, such as a Bencher of the Inn, King’s Counsel, senior counsel within an organisation, judge, or Head of Chambers.
