Event Booking Now Available Directly via Members’ Online Accounts

Members can now book and pay for Inn events directly through their online Member Account, bringing event management into a single, convenient location.

The expansion of our online booking system streamlines the process, offering real-time ticket availability, secure card payments at the point of booking, and instant confirmation. Members can bypass the need for phone calls and email exchanges or using third-party ticket providers by booking directly online with us, securing their place immediately. Through their account, members can also view and amend their booking details, make cancellations, manage mailing preferences and more.

Student members have been using the system to book Qualifying Sessions for some time, but we are now able to include more Inn events – starting with Ordinary Dining bookings (from 9 September). Other events will include popular highlights of our annual calendar such as Black Tie Dinners, Grand Day, and Sunday Lunch. Socials, workshops and lectures will be added later this term too.

What does this mean for me?

If you are already using your Member Account:

You’re ready to go! Browse the Events calendar, choose your event and (when booking is open) follow the booking link to log in and complete your booking. The demo video below will help.

If you haven’t logged in before:

Don’t worry – your details are already in our system. Activating your online account is straightforward and only takes a few minutes. We recommend doing this now so you’ll be ready to book as soon as your preferred event opens for booking.

What does the booking process entail?

For a walk-through of using the new event booking system, watch this short demo video:

Please note that this term is a transition period: while many member events will be available to book through the new system, some events (for example, those that went on sale before launch or public events) will still be available on other platforms, such as Ticket Tailor. This means that the calendar in your account will only display member events managed within the new system. You can find the full list of events on What’s On; the booking link for each event will automatically direct you to the correct page.

Terms and Conditions

Standardised Terms and Conditions now apply to all events booked through this system, including a new cancellation policy. A link to the Terms & Conditions is provided at the point of each booking, and you will be required to acknowledge that you have read and accept them. Key points to note are:

  • Payment must be made by credit or debit card at the point of booking.
  • Unless otherwise stated on the specific event page, the booking closure date is seven days prior to the event date.
  • You can log in and amend your booking, including information about you and your guests, at any time up to the booking closure date. In exceptional circumstances, changes may be requested after bookings have closed. In such cases, amendment requests must be emailed to the Event Manager. We will endeavour to accommodate changes after the closure date but we cannot guarantee that all requests can be fulfilled.
  • With the exception of Qualifying Sessions and Call to the Bar (which remain unchanged), cancellations can be made up to the booking closure date and will receive a full refund. Refunds will be processed as soon as possible; please allow up to 14 days after the event date for the funds to appear in your bank account. Cancellations made after the closure date will not be refunded.
