An exhibition of novels and novelists associated with Lincoln’s Inn, running from 1 March – 28 April 2023.
“When I want to read a novel, I write one.”Benjamin Disraeli
Benjamin Disraeli, quoted above, is only one of a remarkable number of novelists associated with Lincoln’s Inn. Some members of the Inn abandoned the law for a writing career while others published in tandem with their career at the Bar. Other writers have been inspired by the atmosphere of the Inn and its history to use it as a setting.
Opening on 1 March, the Library will host an exhibition of novels and novelists associated with Lincoln’s Inn. The material on display will range from titans of Victorian literature to contemporary novelists via 20th Century murder mysteries.
The exhibition runs until 28 April, is free to attend, and can be viewed during Library opening hours. No booking is required.
