Denning Society AGM & Dinner

Having had to surrender to the inevitable last year by cancelling the annual dinner, the Denning Society is now delighted to resume normal business. We look forward to seeing as many members as are able to attend, especially young members. Space is limited and we are approaching capacity, so please book soon if you would like to join us.

We are particularly pleased to welcome as our after-dinner speaker:

Sir Jonathan Jones, KCB, QC (Formerly the Treasury Solicitor and Head of the Government Legal Service, now a senior consultant at Linklaters.)

AGM

The AGM will be held immediately before the dinner. The business of the AGM will be:

1. To receive the Chair’s report.

2. To receive the Treasurer’s report.

3. To re-elect members of the Committee: Jonathan Crow QC, Marina Faggionato, Mark Baxter, Tim Amos QC, Elspeth Talbot Rice QC, Bajul Shah, James Cuttress QC, Anthony Trace QC, and Oliver Wise are retiring by rotation and offer themselves for re-election.

4. Any other business.

Event Details

Doors open: 7:00 pm

Drinks reception: 7:15 pm

AGM: 7:45 pm

Dinner: 8:00 pm

Venue: The Old Hall, Lincoln’s Inn

Dress: Black tie

Members are welcome to bring a maximum of three guests each to the Dinner. The cost will be £80.00 per head.

Kindly note that it will not be possible to refund any places cancelled after Thursday 13 January 2022.

Admission will be for those who have booked via Eventbrite only. Please note, bookings will not be taken over the phone or via email for this event. The deadline to book will be Thursday 13 January 2022.
