A gentle circular walking and cycling route past places associated with the Inn’s Christian Socialist Chaplain F. D. Maurice (ob April 1st 872) has been devised. A teatowel, written diagram and guide will be available. On Saturday 2nd April at 2.30 guides will be available for either a cycle ride or a walk along the Way (finishing by 4.30). The F D Maurice Way can also be undertaken on a self guided basis.

The route includes King’s College London, the Red Cross Garden and housing estate, Bankside (established by his disciple Octavia Hill), Guy’s Hospital Chapel (at which he was chaplain in pre antibiotic days) Queens College for Girls  and the Working Men’s College (both of which he founded).

There is no need to book; but it is always useful to have an advance indication. For further information about F D Maurice or the cycle route please contact [email protected]
