Lecture followed by questions and Domus dinner (mixed seating plan with members of the Bench and Bar). A chaired panel discussion by barristers focusing on their lived experience of the way their protected characteristic have benefited and disadvantaged them in their education, professional lives or more widely.

Learning Aims: The aim of this Qualifying Session is to understand the impact of protected characteristics on individuals, as well as the limitations in empathizing with others’ experiences, and to explore various methods for educating oneself and showing respect and understanding.
