Lecture Night (Online) – “Ethics and Advocacy”
Lecture followed by questions. At this qualifying session students will receive some real-life cautionary tales from a judge’s perspective, illustrating what can go wrong, highlighting the consequences of failing short and offering guidance on how stay within the rules of engagement in the heat of battle.

Learning Outcomes:The aim of this Qualifying Session is to foster awareness of the ethical pitfalls that can arise in the course of a court hearing and of the consequences of falling short of ethical standards; and to encourage reflection on the means of avoiding unethical advocacy in the pressures of a hearing.
