We are pleased to invite members of the four Inns of Court to a wellbeing event focused on managing and reducing stress at the Bar.

The legal profession can be demanding, and this session will provide a valuable opportunity to pause, reflect, and gain practical support.

The talk will be chaired by Emma Southern (3PB), and the panel will include Nikki Alderson (Former barrister and professional coach at Nikki Alderson Coaching), Elizabeth Rimmer (CEO of LawCare) and Michelle Christie (Altr Life).

Attendees can expect to:

  • Gain a better understanding of how stress can impact performance, decision‑making, and well-being
  • Hear from Elizabeth Rimmer (LawCare’s CEO) on their ‘Life in the Law‘ report 2025, which surveyed law professional on how working in law is affecting mental health and wellbeing
  • Learn practical and realistic techniques that can be applied day to day from Nikki Alderson, who will help you to take meaningful action to increase your sense of personal and professional wellbeing
  • Experience stress management techniques in the session, led by Michelle Christie, including exercises to implement immediately
  • Receive signposting to resources and further support
  • Interactive Q&A session
