Presentational Skills Workshop
On Saturday 19 February the Actors’ Institute will be organising a full day course in the Ashworth Centre, Lincoln’s Inn for members.
The training will include practical group exercises, hands on practice and opportunities for presentation and feedback. The actors are experts in voice, body language and creative thinking. Whether you want to improve communication, build confidence and charisma, or become more persuasive, their approach will help you to create a positive mind-set and overcome your personal barriers.
Actor training has been creating confident and persuasive storytellers for over 100 years. They use practical actor training techniques, to empower delegates with strategies that they can use time and time again to succeed in their role.
The workshop will cover:
• How to use vocal tone and rhythm to keep your audience listening.
• Effective use of breath and projection to fill the space.
• Use body-language, gesture and presence to influence.
• Using storytelling to engage and persuade your audience.
The cost of this event is £25 per person.
The day will begin with registration from 9:00 am and will finish at 4:30 pm. Lunch and other refreshments will be provided during the day. There is no dress code for this event.
The booking and cancellation deadline is Friday 11 February at 4 pm. Spaces are limited, and guests are not permitted at this event. Please contact the Member Engagement Team via [email protected] if you have any questions.
