This Qualifying Session is a lecture on the different types of unconscious bias and how it affects the protected characteristics in the workplace.

Speakers: Brie Stevens-Hoare QC, Brynmor Adams, Nadia Motraghi, Lennart Poulsen and Karen Kabweru-Namulemu

Learning Outcomes: At the end of this Qualifying Session students will be able to:

·        Recognise and understand the life experiences for those practising at the bar with protected characteristics.

·        Recognise processes and tools to minimize the effect of unconscious bias in the workplace.

·        Recognise the impact of this on practice and what might be done to reduce its effects and create an inclusive bar.
