Understanding the framework the law and the code of conduct (Hybrid)
A presentation by each of two speakers (one on the law and one on the code) followed by a discussions of examples/experiences and case studies from both.

Learning Outcomes:
- Understand the key concepts of the Equality Act 2010 (direct and indirect discrimination, protected characteristics and victimisation)
- Understand how the Equality Act 2010 applies to both self-employed and employed barristers, and how it applies when engaging with professional and lay clients
- Explain some of the inclusion issues which could arise during pupillage and the first three years of practice.
