Learning Outcomes:

  • Understand the key concepts of the Equality Act 2010 (direct and indirect discrimination, protected characteristics and victimisation)
  • Understand how the Equality Act 2010 applies to both self-employed and employed barristers, and how it applies when engaging with professional and lay clients
  • Explain some of the inclusion issues which could arise during pupillage and the first three years of practice.
