Workshop: Experiences of Disabled Practitioners
If you have a disability, or experience of disability as a carer or colleague, we would like to invite you to an evidence gathering workshop we are holding on Thursday 23 January.
The aim of the workshop is to help inform the Inn of the issues and concerns our members have around disability at the Bar. The findings will feed into the Inn’s Equality, Diversity and Inclusivity Committee’s overall Action Plan and programme of activities.
Spaces are limited to encourage open conversations in an intimate and safe space, where attendees can confidently share their thoughts and needs. For those who cannot attend in person, there will also be the opportunity to take part remotely.
For those who can come to the Inn, we will be offering drinks and refreshments following the session.
Timings:
Registration: 17:45
Workshop: 18:00 – 19:30
Drinks reception: 19:30 – 20:00
Unfortunately, due to limited space, this event is only available to Hall members and Benchers of all 4 of the Inns.
Assistants and assistance animals are welcome. If you have any accessibility needs, please state these when you book and we will try our best to accommodate them.
If you have any questions, concerns or suggestions on the topic of disability at the Bar, please contact [email protected]. Further support and information on the topic of disability at the Bar can be found on the Bar Council website.
