Into the Archives: Roll of Honour (World War I)

The Inn’s war memorial at the north end of New Square is familiar to many. However, few are aware the Inn also has another memorial for the First World War, a roll of honour commissioned from the artist William Graily Hewitt in 1919. Learn about its fascinating history in this episode of Into the Archives.

The Roll of Honour is displayed in the Great Hall vestibule, outside the Library entrance. The Inn also has a roll of honour for World War II, which is displayed by the entrance to the Chapel.
