The law is for everybody – inspiring the next generation of barristers
The profession of being a barrister is one that is often misunderstood. To dispel some of those myths and encourage more young people, regardless of background, to see the Bar as a potential career path, the North Eastern Circuit (NEC) has produced an exciting new film aimed at school and college age students.
Funded by the NEC, in partnership with the four Inns of Court and the Bar Council, The Law is for Everybody gives students the opportunity to hear first-hand experiences of life at the Bar from members of the NEC. Amongst those featured in the film are Lincoln’s Inn members Francesca Gardner, His Honour Judge Mushtaq Khokhar, and Glenn Parsons, who himself leads the NEC’s diversity group.
It is hoped that this ground-breaking film will ultimately be available in every school in the country.
