LGBTQ+ Network
Welcome to the Lincoln’s Inn LGBTQ+ Network — an informal, member-led community for LGBTQ+ members and allies. The Network promotes equality, supports inclusion, and helps ensure the Inn is a welcoming place for all. They promote equality, foster understanding, and champion the LGBTQ+ community both at the Inn and beyond.
The Network hosts events, offers guidance and support on LGBTQ+ issues, signposts useful resources, and works with other Inns and the Bar Council. Run by a small group of Benchers, Hall members, and Students (with support from the Member Engagement Team), the Network coordinates activities, communications, and provides a point of contact for anyone seeking advice or support.
Throughout the year, the Network organises a range of events, including informal socials for Student and junior members to meet others across the Bar. It also contributes to wider EDI initiatives at the Inn.
Members of any Inn are welcome to join as LGBTQ+ community members or allies. There’s no formal membership process—simply contact the Network leads via the Member Engagement Team to get involved, attend events, or support its work.
The Inn also offers the Practising Members’ Mentoring Scheme to Called members of the Inn who have completed pupillage. Members are able to offer or request mentoring as someone from the LGBTQ+ community for support/advice in how to navigate this in professional life.
The current LGBTQ+ Network leads are:
